The patch is a classical circular design with a blue border. On the border is the mission name on which the experiment is to be flown aboard (SpaceX Mission CRS20). On the bottom of the border are the names; Patton, Marty and Hester. These are the names of the principal engineers from Delta and dlhBOWLES who designed the experiment; Paul Patton (DFC), Garry Marty (DFC), and Russell Hester (dhBowles). The inner field shows Earth's Northern Hemisphere – where DFC is based. Above Earth is the destination for the experiment, the International Space Station. Below the ISS is the official name of the experiment, "Droplet Formation Study." Below the mission name to the left is a larger water droplet which contains the DFC logo. To the right of the droplet is a SpaceX Dragon cargo vessel that will carry the experiment to space.
